Alphabetical Fairfield was written as part of Fairfield Public School’s 125th celebrations. It is often difficult to find a book about the alphabet that represents our local context, so the students in Stage 2 and Stage 3 and the staff decided to use the 125th as an excuse to write a book about our school using the alphabet as a guide. The school’s current enrolment in 2021, is made up of 95% English as a Second Language speakers of which 40% are from a refugee background.
