Description

THE ALL-NEW KGI NOVEL BY NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELING AUTHOR AUTHOR MAYA BANKS

The Kelly Group International (KGI): A super-elite, top secret, family-run business. Qualifications: High intelligence, rock-hard body, military background. Mission: Hostage/kidnap victim recovery. Intelligence gathering. Handling jobs the U.S. government can’t…

Eden is said to be one of the most beautiful women in the world. Her face has graced countless magazines and her body has sold millions of dollars of clothing. But her fame and beauty has earned her more than she ever imagined. Evil is stalking her, determined to extinguish the ethereal beauty forever.

Swanson or “Swanny” as his teammates call him is always up for the next mission. He came back from Afghanistan wounded and scarred. Hardly the kind of man who even belongs in the same room with Eden. And yet there’s something about the quiet beauty that stirs his blood and makes him dream of the impossible. Because Beauty loving the Beast only happens in fairy tales and KGI doesn’t deal in fairy tales. Ever.

I have read all the kgi series and I love them all and this book was one of my favorites, all these negative reviews?? I thought the message of beauty was wonderful, and how it doesn't matter what's on the outside, also how it kicked stereotypings butt. I thought this was a great read along with all the others of the series. I can't wait for more!!

Have no picture of Swanny but I picture him beautiful just as Eden sees him. This was a beautiful love story definitely should read this book and the whole KGI series

Don't bother and save your money and time. I have most of her books and I stop reading this book half way thru it. I have no idea how it ends and frankly I don't care. I was expecting Swannys story to be amazing. Not so boring and seriously who cares about his scar. His insecurities were such a contradiction to his personality. The scar this and that, his face turning the other way more than once in the same page. Really?

This book is very wordy. The first half is just conversation after conversation between the two characters. Out load and in their heads. I have read the other books in the series and this one just doesn't compare. I would not be surprised to find out is was written by someone other than Maya Banks.

You mentioned in the book before this one, about Sean and Rusty. I'm dying to know their story because that was one hell of a shock to me. This book was a good lesson book. It doesn't matter what you look like it's what inside that makes you beautiful. Can't wait for the next one.

A bit if overkill regarding the constant talk of scarring, but I do like that the subject was broached and that survival was emphasized :) It's ok. Not my favorite in the series (Shades of Gray rocked) but readable on a lazy summer day. Lacking intense smolder.

This is the only book in the KGI Series that I didn't like. There was no action until the very end and even then it was lame. It was over 250 pages of the same thing over and over again before it even had the slightest bit of what we're use to in the series. I thought it was very boring all the way around.

I love this series. I could hardly wait for the next book. I really like all the characters but Swany is special and I love the way Eden brings him out. Another great story by Maya.
