Description

Over the course of three decades, Tom Clancy created a world alive with prescient action and remarkable individuals. In Tom Clancy Support and Defend, covert agent Dominic Caruso faces the deadliest challenge of his career.

Dominic Caruso. Nephew of President Jack Ryan. FBI agent. And operator for the top secret U.S. intelligence agency known as The Campus. Already scarred by the death of his brother, Caruso is further devastated when he is unable to save a friend and his family from a terrorist attack. Ethan Ross was a mid-level staffer for the National Security Council. Now he’s a wanted fugitive on the run with a microdrive that contains enough information to destroy American intelligence efforts around the world. The CIA is desperate to get the drive back before it’s captured by the Russians or one of the various terrorist groups also vying for it.

Only Caruso stands in their way—but can he succeed without the aid of his Campus colleagues?

    Felt like Clancy wrote it.

Another great job. The Clancy family made an excellent choice in partnering with this author to carry on the Clancy legacy. Tight plot, well paced, entirely plausible.

Having been completely spoiled by all the previous works involving the Campus, this is a slight let down. The pace was okay, but missing intensity. This is a good read, but the Campus Operators need to get back in the game...
  • Not as good as I hoped

This book was a variation of some of the companies operatives, specifically Dominic Caruso. It was just not as engaging as other books of this series. I was disappointed and many of the characters were not well defined nor interesting. Having been a motorcyclist for many years I have found the part where Caruso rides a motorcycle through the Alps was a little bit ridiculous. Over icy and curving roads in the middle of winter, give me a break. It's simply not happening. Especially the way that he is supposed to have ridden at very high speeds. Anyway, I'm off to investigate other boats in the Clancy series.
  • Not quite Clancy, but not bad

Plenty of twists, turns, and action. Quick and easy read but not very satisfying.
  • Outstanding, great job Mark!

I was worried that it wouldn't live up to Clancy. Great novel and character development. I look forward to more in the future. Don't forget about Jack jr and Clark.

I've read and treasured every Clancy novel from Red Storm Rising to his last. This book pales by comparison. It really should not have Clancy's name on it.

Not only engrossing, but with humor. Greaney understands books don't have to be depressing to carry weight. More Dom Caruso, please!

A poor attempt to emulate Clancy. The man is dead. Leave his legacy intact.
