Description

An enforcer wanted dead for crimes she didn’t commit...

An assassin wanted dead for crimes he did commit…

Normally, they would be enemies, but they both seek the same thing: exoneration.

Unfortunately, a nefarious underground organization is attempting to kill the one man who could grant it to them, the emperor. If they want to win their freedom, they’ll have to battle powerful wizards, outscheme master schemers, and defeat bloodthirsty monsters, all while dodging friendly fire and evading the law. Exoneration isn’t easy.

This boxed set includes the first three novels in this high fantasy adventure series:

The Emperor’s Edge
Dark Currents
Deadly Games.

A delightful set of books that follow the exploits of amaranthe lokdon and the band of misfits who have come to view her as their leader. The plot of each book is well written with twists tossed in just in case you think you know what's going to happen next. I'm definitely going to have to hunt up the rest of the series.

Great characters in a unique world. Loved it. I'll be buying the rest of the series.
  • Adventure, humor, romance in a steampunk world

A light-weight storyline where the books blend well into each other but don't rely on cliff-hangers at the end of each book. The steampunk theme isn't overdone and the plot (tho often ridiculous) introduces the alternate universe rather than depending on it. A very easy read and worth having several books in the series.

I can't say enough about this series. I loved it from the very beginning to the last page of Republic. Multi-dimensional characters, intriguing plot lines, written with intelligence and wit all combine in this perfect fantasy series.
