The first thing in his life that Basil remembered was cold air. A little girl put Basil's pot down on the front door step.
Το πρώτο πράγμα στη ζωή του, που θυμόταν ο Βασιλικός ήταν ο κρύος αέρας. Ένα μικρό κορίτσι ακούμπησε τη γλάστρα του Βασιλικού στο σκαλοπάτι της εισόδου.
Next to the front door he saw a big flowerpot. It was bright blue and on it was painted a picture of an orange cat.
"What a scary animal!" thought Basil.
Δίπλα στην είσοδο είδε μία μεγάλη γλάστρα. Είχε φωτεινό μπλε χρώμα και πάνω της ήταν ζωγραφισμένη μια εικόνα από μία πορτοκαλί γάτα.
