Childhood trauma, how our pasts influence our present, children growing up into adults, evil and good, light and dark, real and unreal, primitive & animalistic…S.K. brings some disturbing truths to life in this page turner of a novel.

I have mixed feelings on this book. I think it’s overhyped but there is some great story, creativity, and characters. There is also some pretty scary and heartfelt moments. Really the only thing that bothered me was how messy and distorted the story felt but aside from that it’s good. If you like thrills and chills but also a great story about friendship and growing up then this story is meant for you.

This book just means so much to me. I went through a lot as a kid and I found this book in 1990 or so, and it gave me some hope. Hope that even though I was a kid, maybe I could overcome my own adversities. Thrilling from start to finish. One of my favorites from any author.

just never loses its suspense, poignancy, or triumph. How many times have I read and reread this book? Give it a few years, pick it back up again, and I’m lost. I need a bike.

Very detailed, but a bit slow at times and has a lot of tangents.

Saw the movie before I read the book so kind of took away for the suspense but I love how the book goes so much more into detail and background information. The movies had me confused on was “IT” actually was but the book helped clear it up for me . Overall great book
