Description

Jaded Army medic Ryan Malone never expected his next mission would bring him back from Afghanistan to tiny Wishful, Mississippi. His great uncle's health is failing and the cantankerous old coot has pushed everyone in the family away. Ryan is their last resort to get Uncle Percy to move into assisted living before he breaks a hip—or something worse. He's looking to get in, get it done, and get back out. That definitely doesn't include taking time out for a sweet-faced waitress with a heart bigger than the Atlantic.

Interior designer Hannah Wheeler is a long way from the high-powered clients of her old Atlanta firm. Despite the fact that she's currently spending her days waiting tables, she's discovered she really enjoys the small-town life she found with her sister. This Christmas season, she's finally ready to introduce Wishful to her true capabilities by using her skills to spread some holiday spirit. But with Ryan and Percy, she's definitely got her work cut out for her.

Will Hannah's evergreen cheer thaw their frosty hearts and remind these two that the most important part of the holidays is family?

In my opinion, this holiday romance was filled with the all the warmth and love of the Christmas holidays! It grabbed my heart from the first chapter and didn’t let go until the last page of this HEA story. If this doesn’t help you find your holiday spirit nothing will!

Great feel good story. I grabbed a latte, curled up under a blanket and read this book from cover to cover. I loved how Hannah led her man back into the light and the casserole patrol brought an old man who was giving up back to life. Really enjoying all of the books in this series and that touch of southern hospitality and warmth that keeps popping up. Keep the coming please...

Kait Nolan’s stories are always filled with love and friendship and A Lot Like Christmas is no exception. Hannah Wheeler is living with her sister in Wishful, MS, while recovering from the car accident that derailed her Atlanta interior design career. Ryan Malone, a medic with the Army’s elite Delta Force, is currently on leave and on a very different mission. At his mother’s request, he’s in town to perform a wellness check on a beloved family connection, his ‘Uncle’ Percy. But Percy isn’t cooperating and Ryan is beyond frustrated when Hannah is sent by a friend of Percy’s to decorate his house for Christmas. As the decorations go up, Percy is reminded of holidays with his beloved late wife Janie. Like a Christmas miracle Percy begins to lose his reclusive and curmudgeonly ways as his home is transformed. And, Ryan begins to fall for kind, sweet, talented Hannah. Going back to Wishful is like visiting old friends -- before you know it the visit is over and you hate to leave. You can only hope you’ll be invited back to Wishful soon! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
