Wyatt is the host of a show call DIWyatt which he produces himself for an online following. Deanna one of my favorites is in PR for celebrities that think they can do no wrong, not show up and overall cause Deanna a lot of stress in her job fixing their mistakes. Deanna is also divorced from on of these up and coming celebrities. One night after a few drinks Deanna ends up buying a fixer upper which is something she has longed. After an unexpected water leak and a chance encounter with Wyatt they end up with a bit of a trade. Deanna will help Wyatt with PR for his show to get notices for the networks and Wyatt will help her fix up her new home. Things are sparking between them but both are afraid to admit to it because they are both hurt from their past. Once they admit feelings, get a shot at hosting a party for a network there is another massive water leak that destroys what have been completed. With only a week till the party they each think the other has given up after harsh words are spoken. Meanwhile neither is willing to give up on their dreams. In the end the network offer a change at a show, Deanna and Wyatt actually admit how they feel and end up in the dream house they designed. Lots of friends and family support in this book! This story is a must on your TBR list!! I had a great time reading it, and the characters were so well developed, I felt like I was watching this whole story develop in front of my eyes!! Okay, who doesn’t love a good home renovation show? Throw in the loveable Wyatt and the hard-working Deanna and this is a must read! The chemistry is palpable and the writing brings a great tension to the book. I really felt like I wanted to watch this ‘show’ and see the house from start to finish… or maybe I really did in my mind’s eye from Kait’s amazing writing…hmmm. I received I copy through booksprout and I’m leaving a review. I loved this book. I completely fell in love with the characters right from the beginning and couldn’t put it down until I finished.

Sure, the hot guy with a tool belt was amazing. But the house! Oh, the house!! I had my first moment of wanting to stay in this story forever when Deanna saw the staircase, and “laid her hand on the newel post, running her fingers over the gorgeous millwork hidden beneath about a million layers of paint.” Then she pictures “fresh greenery garlands on the banister for some future Christmas.” And to make it all happen with DIWyatt? Wow! And the story didn’t disappoint. Deanna and Wyatt are remarkably suited for restoring the awesome house as well as their personal challenges. As always, with the Misfit Inn bunch, family is there in droves for each other! Through all the craziness there’s laughter and thoughtfulness, and chemistry off the charts! Yes! I wanna live there forever - like I wanna live in “Love Actually “ and “The Holiday”. Great story!! Can’t wait for the audiobook version! I just love this story! I couldn’t put it down with all the humorous interactions and romance between Deanna and Wyatt as they are working on a fixer upper. I really a really good laugh on how Deanne bought the fixer upper and then met Wyatt. Kait Nolan plays on Deanna’s and Wyatt emotions as they struggle in their careers and family relationship. Deanna James feels stuck in her life - in a job she doesn’t love, paying alimony to her ex-husband due to an unfair divorce settlement. Her parents look at her like she’s a walking disaster that never makes a good decision about her future. • Deanna finds herself the owner of a complete fixer upper in Tennessee- enter Wyatt Sullivan, popular YouTube contractor of DIWyatt. Wyatt feels stuck in some ways, too, and without a new project to tackle as he tries to show that he has what it takes to land a network show. As they work on the house together, sparks begin to fly - and they may just find exactly what they need in each other. • Deanna and Wyatt complemented each other perfectly and I was rooting for them from the very beginning! The book was a quick read and I found myself smiling throughout. It was pretty low-angst and I really enjoyed seeing some updates on previous Misfit Inn families, as well as being introduced to new characters, too.
