What a sweet story of coming into and acknowledging the feelings you have for another. A slow burn romance in the temple of truth! Both parties are learning about their feelings for each other and how to deal with jealousy. Tisa learns how to have a friend you can confided in and Menjet learns to appreciate what he has. Great love story and I love howAni and Nick are brought into the story.

Scales of Honesty is a short story in The Apprentice Of Anubis series. I really enjoyed this deeper look into the lives of Taia and Metjen. New challenges and stress test the couple like never before and we see them trying to navigate these difficult times and complete their Temple assignments. Taia must ponder why Metjen has started avoiding her, has something happened to their bond? All while preparing for a huge festival to celebrate the temples in London. Taia must show her devotion to the Temple and the goddess of truth and justice will find a way. Can Taia and Metjen figure out what's wrong between them and keep their blessings from the goddess? I highly recommend this book it was great! Fun read as always!

I enjoyed reading Taia’s story. Taia and Metjen were interesting characters in Ani’s series and it was nice to see them as main characters for this one. The banquet scene was really similar to Ani’s in The Festival of the Blessed, only from Taia’s perspective instead of instead of Ani’s. So this short story is a spinoff from Apprentice of Anubis or Ani’s story series. It’s from Ma’at Blessed Priestess Taia’s perspective as she becomes friends with Ani and her confused feelings with her Blessed partner Priest Metjen. It’s a follow up from when Ani and Taia decided to become friends at the Blessed dinner. The ‘what happened’ to Taia and Metjen relationship. This one is a companion story about Taia and Metjen who met in the series. AN interesting story about side characters that actually played a big part in Ani's story. Enjoyed seeing a few events from Taia's side and watching her try and figure out what is going on with Metjen. A quick clean fun story I really enjoyed.

A sweet romance story. This is set in The Apprentice of Anubis/ Egyptian Empire world. If you’ve read the books then you’ll remember Taia and Metjen from a couple of Ani’s stories. This focuses on the Ma’at Blessed pair and their life in her temple. I enjoyed the focus being on a different temple and goddess even for a brief glimpse. It was fun to see things from a different point of view. A couple of visits from familiar faces. Overall this is a quick enjoyable read.
