Description

#1 New York Times bestselling author Johanna Lindsey returns to the dazzlingly passionate world of the Malorys, an aristocratic family of rakehell adventurers and spirited ladies, in a thrilling new tale of unbridled desires.

Judith and Jacqueline Malory are not simply cousins; they are inseparable best friends. Refusing to miss Jacqueline's come-out in Connecticut, Judy convinces her parents, James and Georgina, to let her delay her London debut by a few weeks so she can accompany her cousin. Neither girl intends to fall in love during her first Season. But Judy's plans are overturned when aboard ship she comes face-to-face with the ghost who has been haunting her dreams.

Unknown to the Malorys, deckhand Nathan Tremayne is a smuggler with a noose around his neck. Determined to carry out a covert mission in America that could gain him a pardon, Nathan senses that Judith is trouble. Somehow the minx knows his secret—and now she's blackmailing him into doing her bidding—teaching her how to climb the rigging and how to kiss. While passions can soar on the high seas, Nathan knows this aristocratic beauty is merely amusing herself with a scoundrel like him.

When the unthinkable happens in Connecticut and the elder Malorys' hands are tied, Nathan takes command of a dire situation. Captaining his own ship, he turns the tables on Judy and steers them into uncharted waters, where a lady might just throw caution to the wind and give her heart to a scoundrel.

I'm a big fan of Johanna Lindsey. I have all of her books so I know & love the Malory family. I was looking forward to Judith's story but I was disappointed 😩. There were also story lines that left me hanging. I hope Jack's story is much better than this.

I have been reading Johanna Lindsey books for over 30 years. Having recently (that is to say within the last 12 months) becoming a blogger and writing reviews for the many books I have read which are written by Indie authors, this is the first review I have written for one of Ms. Lindsey’s books. And to be honest, I contemplated just reading Stormy Persuasion without posting a review, but then came to the decision that with the multitude of years I have been entertained by Ms. Lindsey’s stories, I felt I owed it to her to finally post a review in order to make other readers aware of the fantastic, beautiful and loving stories she has given us all. Well not surprisingly, Johanna Lindsey has written yet another excellent tale about the Malory and Anderson families. I've missed spending time with them and Stormy Persuasion has pulled me right back into their lives. I love Judith and Nathan's story and the magnificent connection that their hearts share. The fun and camaraderie once again ensues between not only Judith’s father and uncle, but the Anderson brothers and the rest of the family as well. Nathan is a fantastic addition and definitely fits right in. I was a little uncertain at first after having read the synopsis realizing so many years had passed since reading the first story of the Malory's wondering if I would be able to accept the fact that 20 years has now gone by while at the same time being so excited to have a new love story written about this family. But Ms. Lindsey has once again entertained me with exemplary tale of falling in love and the magical connection between Judith and Nathan which is superlative and has touched my heart. Thank you Ms. Lindsey for the many years of beautiful stories you have written. Stormy Persuasion is a magnificent addition to the Malory/Anderson clan. I loved it!

I love this series ... Re-visiting James and Anthony is always a treat .. In this book Anthony's daughter Judith finds her HEA ... It was sweet ... Although the end sets up the story for James' daughter Jack which I cannot wait for ... I'm glad I read this ...

I am a fan of Ms Lindsey and an avid reader of all her books! Imagine my surprise when I saw this new book was on my favorite Family. I have hope that Jacqueline Malory marries Justin, son of Devlin & Meagan from the book, Man of my Dreams!
