Mating Fever

I enjoyed the story. The characters were interesting and I enjoyed their interaction.

One of my favorites of all the collection so far. The beginning of the story captured me immediately and pulled me inside the wonderful fantasy. The ending was perfect, absolutely great to have the two main characters have their happily-ever-after.

The 10th Interstellar Brides book by Grace Goodwin gives us our third Atlan Warrior, Nyko. The Atlans are an interesting breed as they go into beast mode when fighting and when they go into mating fever. If unable to find their mate they get stuck in this form and have to be executed as they become a danger to everyone around. Nyko seems to be getting closer to the mating fever as he has been having more trouble controlling his beast. He's a high level officer and warrior from years of fighting The Hive, for the Coalition. He's come to the conclusion that he must go to be tested for a mate by the Interstellar program before it's too late. The book once again treats us to a dream sequence upon opening, Megan has been tested and matched and is not happy to be awoken from her dream. There is a new tester here who is an Atlan female. Megan promises to finish the mating process after she completes her top secret mission,after that she plans to be mated and retired from the military. Megan comes from a military family who's overbearing mom has pushed her so hard she goes beyond the earth military and signs up for the Coalition. Here she has volunteered for some very risky missions as well as proven herself as a worthy soldier. She runs into trouble during her mission and is rescued by the one warrior on her warship that seems to not like her very much. She finds him very irritating, controlling and dominant but also oh so very sexy, hunky and handsome, even in his beast form. There is exciting action scenes up close with The Hive and we are introduced to another member of the enemy, the Nexus, who are different and interesting. I hope we get to learn more about them in future books. Fate has interesting plans for this couple and I loved how they developed both individually and together. This was not like the other books where there was a match and the couple has to work things out, this couple has to go through a lot to find out who they are mated to. One of my favorite books in the series, book 10 gets 10 stars for sexy hot emotional romance, adventure, excitement, danger , great storyline and characters.
