The First Starfighter

I love the idea of this new series. That the Starfighters didn't quite realize just how real the battles they fought through were. That once they'd "won" the REAL battles would begin. I really like the "girl power" of Jamie and her gamer friends--it was a nice spin. And I really like Alex too. But the whole time I spent reading, I had a feeling of deja vu. And that was due to the fact that I'd already seen the movie with the same name. I'm hoping there's a bit more originality in the next one in the series.

Great descriptions. Love at first Avitar. Lol not a game but real. Action packed. Funny. Great interactions. Steam to the left and right in between killing the bad guy! Can’t wait for book two! Beginning of the book hard to get started. I thought it picked up more of story 1/4 into book. I enjoyed characters. Will read the next books in series.

The First Starfighter: Game 1 (Starfighter Training Academy)- Grace Goodwin Since I had never watched “The Last Starfighter” I found the concept of this new series to be original and intriguing. Even with the many similarities other readers have mentioned in their reviews, the possibilities in this world are wonderful. The ability of the female game players to “design” their male alien partners in the game , but turns out they are actually being led to actual beings that will hopefully become their mates partner should they win. As daunting as the reality is to Jamie, the bold, brave and sassy heroine, she is more than thrilled to let her fantasy become her actual reality and take part as a real life Starfighter defending a real planet against the evil queen she fought in the “game”. She is even more than tingled “all over her body” to find the male she “created” to be her co-partner is an actual gorgeous alien named Alex, and that he has been getting to know her during the whole time she has played the game. Together Jamie and Alex become the first Starfighter mated pair and they literally set out conquer the universe. Their sizzling, amazing chemistry add to the excitement, fun, and enjoyment of the story. Jamie had bonded with two other females that played the “game” with her as a team. It is most likely we will see her two friend and their special copilots in upcoming books!

ARC REVIEW- The First Starfighter by Grace Goodwin I absolute, totally recommend any book by Grace Goodwin. She is one of my top five authors (my top five I should say here are actually all tied for first in my book but that is just me ). I have read alllll of her books and I have not found one that I did not like and The First Starfighter is no exception. I am so excited right now. I absolute love the first book in this new series, Starfighter Training Academy! Jaime and Alex are perfect for each other. Grace did a good job with their characters and the chemistry between them like all of her couples are out of this world fantastic!! Grace did an outstanding job with creating Velerion and the Starfighter Training Acedemy!! I absolutely can’t wait for StarFighter Command!! I know Grace did not say who is next up (well, the female (I am assuming female) as she did say Kassius was the male) but she did mention that Jaime was a Starfighter in the training and her friend Mia was training to be in the command center and her friend Lily, was found support (can’t remember exactly the official titles of the positions right now as I am so excited). Beside Grace outstanding creativity with Velerion and the Starfighter Traning Academy she always does one thing exceptionally well with all of her books and that is to have so much heat and emotions in her books that you are literally fanning yourself!! Grace really outdid herself with this new series and I am so excited and can’t wait for book 2, Starfighter Command, to be released. It’s going to be torture waiting for it. I am have to go back and read some of her other books while I am waiting. I will let you in on a not so secret secret Listening to any of her Interstellar Bride Series on audiobook will definitely have you so very hot you will need a fan!! This is the latest fantastic story by Grace Goodwin. I can't wait to read the rest of this series. I couldn't put it down! I was caught up in the action from the first page. Jamie has been playing this game, Starfighter Training Academy for months now. She believes that it is just a game until Alex shows up to her apartment and asks her to come with him to become the first Starfighter from Earth. It takes some convincing but she agrees to go. The game is actually a training simulation to find more Starfighter pairs to fight against the evil Queen Raya and her merciless Dark Fleet. Jamie and Alex are a bonded pair but they will be tested. She loved the game as well as her gorgeous copilot in the game, Alexius. Then he showed up at her door in person later that night and made her an offer she couldn’t refuse...could she? I loved the different aspect of this story from the rest of Grace Godwin’s books. A video game come to life. The characters had amazing chemistry and made me wish we could spend more time with them. As always I would definitely recommend reading this book! Grace never disappoints.
