Dirty Obsession

This book was nothing like I expected in the most amazing way! The plot was amazing and very different than any other story I’ve read. It starts with a “love sick obsessed girl” and turns into so much more of a dark world than I was expecting. If you have triggers I will warn you that it gets dark but Ella Miles knows exactly what she’s doing with her writing. Can’t wait to read the rest of the series!!

I couldn’t stop reading it from the start!

The Carini Family is a very powerful, dangerous, and corrupt family who loves violence! A young Nina has become indebted to the Carini family and is forced to sign a 7 year contract to repay her debt. In this extremely dark read, Nina has to take every possible form of abuse from the entire family. She is beaten and raped continuously. She is a pawn in their game. When the father beats her to the point of almost dying, brothers Arlo and Matteo rescue her and nurse her back to health. Nina decides to turn the tables on the family by making both Arlo and Matteo fall in love with her, but she is simply using them to gain information that can be used against the family. However, her heart isn’t immune to these brothers, regardless of their dark and dangerous lifestyle. This is a series so be sure to read them all! Once again this author has done an awesome job of bring us characters that are well developed and engaging and have loads of steamy chemistry throughout the pages. This particular read is dark and compelling with many possible triggers. However, that being said, this author has such great skills in the use of her words drawing you in and her world building artistry actually enabling you to envision what she is writing. I was a little put off in the beginning with Nina and her personality disorder and obsessive behavior. This was nicely overcome with her emotional growth and maturity. Strong, vivid characters are employed in this powerful and engaging read. I received a copy of this book via and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Definitely dysfunctional in the way Enrico played his sick, violent, and brutal games ending in torture rape and death with his sons and the chosen seven. Matteo and Arlo were equally warped and hardened, each playing the game to win and survive. As they both fall for Nina, the twisted cat and mouse game continued throughout the storyline. Graphic, dark, relentless scenes between the three of them as they delve deeper and deeper into their obsessive connection with each other. Wow, what the heck did I just read?! Nina was a pathetic little girl playing with fire in the prequel, Dirty Beginning. Here in Dirty Obsession, she's still crazy, but she's grown up a little. She still has obsessive tendencies, but she's curbed them a tad. But then she's brought back into Arlo's twisted world and all bets are off. Will she survive what he and his family have in store for her? Does he actually have feelings for her or is she the only one who was obsessed? I can't say that I ever liked Nina or Arlo, or anyone else in this story except Heath and Eden, but I will say that their story is entertaining and twistedly absurd. It's not as dark as a lot of stuff I've read, but it's not all flowers and sunshine, either. So beware, this is not really Ella Miles' usual kind of story. It's really twisted and there's lots of stuff happening in the grey and black areas of life. The ending is cliffy-ish, so I'm going to assume another installment is coming. I hope so!
