The Debt...The Truth...The Lies...

This is absolutely one of the best series you will ever read. The author’s world building, dialogue, characters, and storyline are impeccable. Liesel and Langston loved each other as young children and then it all went horribly and cruelly wrong. They lie to each other to both hide and to punish. The twists and turns are so outrageous and elusive you can’t put this book down. Excellent read!

Intense Read

I love the novels Ella Miles writes and this book features two of the characters in her Truth or Lies and Sinful Truths Series which were previously published by this author. Vicious Lies is the follow-up to the prequel, In Lies We Share, and continues the story of Langston Pearce, now a hitman and head of security for the Black Organization, and Liesel Dunn, an attorney in New York City who has been threatened. Langston is hired by Liesel to help her kill the man threatening her, but during his time prior to the hit he finds she is in a relationship with another man which infuriates him. There are multiple twists in this intense read with these complex characters. I highly recommend this novel which ends in a cliffhanger but continues in the second book entitled Desperate Lies.

Filled with lies and deceptions

This is continuation of Liesel and Langdon’s love/hate story and you should read Lies We Share before starting this book.
These two take lies and deceptions to a whole new level!
The storyline was filled with secrets, lies and so much angst it was gut wrenching to read.
But I also have to admit it started to get a bit repetitive half way through and I’m worried about the rest of the series since there are five more books left!
I was seriously debating giving this one a bit lower rating but then last couple of chapters happened.
I definitely wasn’t expecting that twist and now I’m dying to read the next book!

Lies lies lies

This is how it all began between Liesel and Langston. How they become friends, how they became liars, and they came to hate on another. These 2 are so frustrating!!

Exciting, enthralling, & engaging story!

Loved reading the exciting and enthralling story by Ella Miles. When Langston kidnaps Liesel, he tells she must tell him her side of the treasure map, will never forgive her for something Liesel has no idea what Langston is upset with her about, and whenever she asks him, he refuses to tell her. Langston will let her live one year in his house as a prisoner on his secluded island with no escape, and then, he will kill her. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, riveting story, ending with an unbelievable cliffhanger, and can't wait to read the next story in the series.
The Lies that Bind

A cryptic message, inquiring about needing a hitman who won’t be doing the hit, surfaces in a mercenary magazine, signed by “The Huntress.” Only one man answers the ad; Langston dubbed Liesel “The Huntress” when they were just kids. Liesel is a powerful lawyer with a powerful boyfriend, Waylon, and they share an amazing relationship.
Liesel can always tell when Langston is near because she gets goosebumps every time. Langston takes the job, which is to occur in 5 days. Liesel wants to make sure Waylon is away on his business trip. Langston spies on Liesel continually, hacking into security systems everywhere she goes. He can’t help wanting to watch her because he loves her even though their relationship is filled with lies that make him hate her enough to kill her.
Unable to wait the required five days, Langston kidnaps Liesel and takes her to an unknown island. Here they will play a deadly game of truth or lies. Depending on her answers, Liesel may end up dead at Langston’s hands much sooner than the one year Langston has allowed her, or she could end up cutting her time shorter. It’s up to her whether she gets to live a little longer.
